Roberta Gackowski

Roberta began her TVI career in 1988 and worked for The NJ Commission for the Blind, as an itinerant teacher, until 2022 when she retired.  She now works part time for St. Joseph’s School for the Blind in NJ, visiting therapy schools, and loving every moment with students and staff.  Roberta most loved to teach braille and credits her college professor, Harry Lasky at Kutztown University, with encouraging her.  She continues to meet with prior students/parents to check in on their well being and is always looking for ways to be of service to others.
