Susan Osterhaus is the Statewide Mathematics Consultant with the Outreach Program at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI). She shares her experience freely with colleagues at TSBVI, throughout Texas, nationally, and internationally through presentations, workshops, videos, publications, and curriculum development, and she is also involved in technological research and development as a consultant, field tester, and net worker. In addition, she is a long-time member of the BANA Nemeth and Tactile Graphics Committees.
Susan has created numerous resources for the field, including several written and video tutorials on the Orion TI-84+ Talking Graphing Calculator. Susan is a co-author of Nemeth at a Glance, the Nemeth Braille Code Curriculum, one of the creators of Project INSPIRE and an author of Learning and Teaching the Nemeth Code within UEB Contexts: A Step-by-Step Guide.
