Karen Whitaker
Karen Whitaker is a certified TVI who has worked in the field for over 23
years. She previously worked at Overbrook School for the Blind for over 15
years in various roles including classroom teacher and Elementary
Program Coordinator. Currently, Karen is an itinerant TVI at Montgomery
County Intermediate Unit working with students from K to 12 th grade. She
holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from
La Salle University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Pennsylvania
College of Optometry (Salus University). She is a wife and mom of 3
children plus 2 fur babies. In her spare time, Karen enjoys tinkering with
new technology and riding rollercoasters.
