I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I have a BA in Psychology and Early Childhood Intervention from Texas State University. Currently, I am a classroom teacher at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin, where I teach students with multiple disabilities, including students who are DeafBlind. In August 2020, I graduated from Texas Tech University with my M.Ed. in Special Education. I also received my Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments certification and TTU graduate certificate for Teacher of Students who are DeafBlind. I am passionate about the field that I am in and enjoy deepening my understanding of teaching social-emotional learning for students who are DeafBlind and students with multiple disabilities, including visual impairment.
