Gwen Pair

Ms. Pair has been an instructional paraprofessional at the Maryland School for the Blind, located in Baltimore, Maryland. Throughout their 30 year tenure, Gwen has worked tirelessly to support both educators and students, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to succeed. Her  role has been pivotal in the implementation of individualized education plans, providing one-on-one assistance, and supporting classroom, as well as, residential instructions.

Ms. Pair contributions to education have been recognized on multiple occasions, most notable was her COSB  Nominee, Council of Schools and Services for the Blind, which she was acknowledged for her dedication and impact in their field. She was also the recipient of the Presidential Award, from former MSB Superintendent, Lou Tutt, which underscores her commitment to excellence and the high regard in which she is held by their peers and the broader educational community.

Beyond her professional life, Gwen is actively involved in gardening. In 2023, Gwen transformed her passion into a gardening club for the blind and visually impaired students at her school, a thriving horticulture project.
