Sometimes students need both larger numbers and letters than those available on traditional flashcards. In addition, it may be easier for them to see the text on a yellow background, rather than the standard white one. I make flashcards that the student needs in their preferred medium with the colors they prefer. In the example on this page the cards are 3 x 3″ and with a yellow background. I use cardstock because they will not be laminated. I want to avoid glare, and yet they need to be sturdy enough for heavy use. I use the APHont, as it is the best for low vision students.
