The ABCs of UEB

This new resource about Unified English Braille (UEB) provides examples and practice exercises.

BANA (Braille Authority of North America) announced that a new resource for learning about Unified English Braille (UEB) – designed for those who already know the Braille Code – is now available on BANA’s website for free download, along with examples of documents transcribed in UEB.

The ABCs of UEB by Constance Risjord outlines the major differences between English Braille, American Edition (EBAE) and UEB. Although this is not a complete instruction manual, it provides examples and practice exercises, which allow people who already know EBAE to quickly build on their knowledge of braille to understand UEB.

Available in html, pdf, and brf formats.
