AER (Association for the Rehabilitation and Education of the Visually Impaired) recently announced a new division, which will be devoted to Neurological Visual Impairment.  The AER Neurological Visual Impairment Division seeks to increase the knowledge base of providers and help refine further areas of need in terms of education, medical, rehabilitation, and habilitation care and research.

This newly formed division plans to provide an opportunity to explore, discuss and contribute to the next level of thinking and opportunities. It hopes to provide a member social network to share resources, strategies and new information. The board granted provisional status to the division in the fall of 2016. It will become a full-fledged division in the summer of 2018 provided it meets specific requirements of membership and activities.
